Do you ever stress out trying to see what kind of funnel you should build?
“These new ‘Reverse Funnels” are crushing it right now,” someone tells you. Then, someone else tells you that you must have a Trip Wire Funnel. Another person tells you to build a Lead Magnet Funnel, use it to get leads, and then sell them using email.
Meanwhile, another person says you should build a “Closer Funnel” and hire salespeople. There are so many opinions that it’s hard to know what to do. But, fortunately there’s a solution.
Because I noticed something interesting the other day. For the most part, there are only 3 Sales Funnels that Info Marketers promote to cold traffic. I’ve looked at thousands of ads. And for the most part, all of them only promote one of these 3 funnels.
So, what are these 3 funnels? Let’s go through them.
#1. Cold Traffic Funnel: A low cost lead generation funnel.
About half of these funnels promote a Lead Magnet. The rest are $1 to $7 Trip Wire Funnels. But, either way, they are simply trying to get a lead.
After that, they convert that lead into a customer either in an upsell right then and there. Or, they convert them using email.
#2. Cold Traffic Funnel: A Webinar or VSL Funnel that sells a $100-200 offer.
Here’s why these funnels work so well. First you get a lot of leads because every single webinar opt in goes into your email list.
Second, Webinars and VSLs just work better at selling a more expensive product. You just can’t beat the personal connection and time spent together that comes with a webinar.
The power of a high-converting webinar, combined with great lead generation just works. That’s why so many people run them.
#3. Cold Traffic Funnel: A Salesperson or “Demo” Funnel.
This is how most people sell anything that costs over $1,000. I see it used to sell anything from $2,000 one-time products to $30,000 Coaching Contracts.
So, if you’re trying to scale up Info Marketing Business take a second look at these 3 core funnels. Some Info Marketers use funnels that are a combination of two of these funnels. But, for the most part just about every Info Marketer’s ads are promoting one of these funnels.
The only exception I can think of is One Funnel Away. That is a Sales Page that promotes a $97 Offer. I created 8 winning ads for that funnel in July 2021. They ran for about a year before they stopped promoting that funnel.
I do have another client who is an exception to this. But, he’s not in the Info Marketing Space. He’s running ads directly to a sales page for a mid-priced offer. And, it’s working.
